Freedom Alliance hosted a weekend retreat on the west coast for students who receive scholarships.

Thanks to your support, we expanded our Student Outreach Project and hosted a new weekend retreat in southern California for our scholarship students. Each of these young men and women lost a parent in a combat mission or military training exercise. Our Freedom Alliance scholars met in California in July. They visited Marines at Camp Pendleton, met with Freedom Alliance supporters, and spoke with one another about the hardships of growing up without their fathers who died defending our country.

With your investment in us, Freedom Alliance will continue to reach out to new audiences and give the sons and daughters of fallen heroes every opportunity to honor their fathers and keep their memories alive.

Student Ambassador Brandi Anderson spoke to friends and supporters in Newport Beach, California, during our west coast retreat for Freedom Alliance scholars. Brandi explained the importance of the mentorship and financial assistance provided by Freedom Alliance and shared poignant memories of her father, Michael Anderson, a Navy Seabee who lost his life on May 2, 2004
