WWB Universal Studios 2The Wounded Warrior Battalion-West (WWBn-W) at 29 Palms in the California desert recently held a final family event with Freedom Alliance at Universal Studios Hollywood. This is the last Freedom Alliance event with the battalion, as the service members will either be medically discharged or reassigned to depart with their units.

“Just wanted to say thank you,” wrote Sean, one of the Marines, “from all of us, to…Freedom Alliance for allowing us to go to Universal Studios and enjoy some wonderful family time together. It was a great day!”

All in all, it was seven recovering Marines, nine family members, and one staff person.WWB Universal Studios 3

The families rode rides, ate lunch, and got to see Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos film their entertainment news show, Extra. Everyone enjoyed seeing the studio set up with monsters and phantoms for Halloween Horror Nights, and they even got to take their pictures with Transformers.

We at Freedom Alliance wish the members of WWBn-W all our best and will be thinking of you with fondness and gratitude.
