On November 10th, 2020, Freedom Alliance and U.S. Bank presented a vehicle to a servicemember in need. U.S. National Guard SSG Crystal Guzman received a 2018 Dodge Journey in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The vehicle will relieve a financial burden from her and her family.
SSG Guzman served 10 years in the Army National Guard before receiving an honorable discharge. In 2005, she deployed to Afghanistan as a combat medic and was the first Medical Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of the Pakistan Earthquake Relief. She treated many burn victims in combat zones and suffers from post-traumatic stress as a result of her work and experiences.
She is married to USMC Sgt. Pat Guzman, who served four years as a combat engineer. They have two children, ages six and two. Freedom Alliance President Tom Kilgannon said, “It’s incredibly rewarding to see the impact of these vehicles in our veterans’ lives.”
