This Father’s Day, we at Freedom Alliance were thinking about the families who are separated from dads who are serving their country overseas. In honor of the holiday, we delivered flowers to the mothers/wives of deployed soldiers, and concurrently sent family photographs to the fathers in uniform.
Maria—wife of Bruno, a medic—helped us organize this effort for families of the 2-506 Infantry Battalion Medics from Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
“Thank you for putting this together for these families,” said Maria. “It will mean so much to have this time captured for them during this deployment.”
Three families had professional portraits taken by Bev T Photography out of Louisville. The photographs came just in time to send to the dads overseas. Two families had babies born just prior to the deployment, and so the soldiers got to see how their infants had grown.
Sam was one soldier who received his family photos. “Thank you for a wonderful Father’s Day!” he said.
