On November 19, 2020, Freedom Alliance and U.S. Bank presented a vehicle to a servicemember in need. US Army SGT Joshua Hooker, a Purple Heart recipient, accepted a 2017 Honda Pilot in San Diego, California.

SGT Hooker grew up in Sacramento, California. He enlisted in the military immediately after graduating high school. He served from 2004 to 2009, including a tour in Iraq. In 2006 he was hit by an IED blast. He lost his left food and went through three years of rehabilitation. He currently suffers from post-traumatic stress (PTS) and a traumatic brain injury (TBI).

SGT Hooker’s new Honda Pilot will relieve a financial burden and has the space to support his growing family, which recently increased from 4 to 5 members! Freedom Alliance President Tom Kilgannon said, “Josh is an incredible young man. He’s got a great outlook and a heart for service. Josh made a lot of sacrifices for our country. It’s an honor to know him and a privilege to help him in this way.”
