29 APRIL 2010 1213hrs…

The competition is on! Troops were divided in to three teams and are spending two hours at each of the three events, archery, trap/skeet, and fishing. The chief instructor and the president of Airfield Shooting Club are on hand to teach trap and skeet, while 2000 Bassmasters Champion Woo Daves is on the water with other competition fishermen fishing with the troops, Chis Brackett of Brackett Outdoors is heading up the archery. The competition is tight and only one station is left after lunch before the results will be revealed. Tracy Lawrence and his band have arrived and are preparing to join the troops this afternoon before their private performance this evening.

Above is a photo from yesterday, Chris Brackett poses with a wounded soldier from Walter Reed Army Medical Center after the soldier shot an extremely rare “Robin Hood” shot. A “Robin Hood” is when one arrow pierces another arrow already in the target. Chris has been on hand to teach archery to the wounded warriors and spend time with them.
