Freedom Alliance recently hosted its second annual Family Day event for the 11th Marines on Camp Pendleton at Lake O’Neil “These kids will leave here with a memory; having met some new friends and the knowledge of what their support system really looks like,” said the battery’s incoming Commanding Officer.

An inflatable obstacle course, jousting ring, sumo wrestling, pony rides, face painting, balloon animals, rock climbing and a magician were just a few of the memorable activities Marines and their families enjoyed.

A DJ emceed the event, playing popular music and calling out ticket numbers every few minutes for a raffle with over 30 prizes. A lunch of BBQ pulled-pork sandwiches and chicken platters were provided by Smokey’s a local BBQ joint.

Several times throughout the day the regiment Family Readiness Officer (FRO) got up on stage to thank Freedom Alliance for our sponsorship and support. “I can’t thank you enough,” he said.
