Kingwood Texas – (January 16th, 2021) – To begin 2021, Freedom Alliance, a military support organization, was honored to gift a customized wheelchair to Warfighter Scuba, another veteran’s group that is dedicated to supporting our returning heroes. Warfighter Scuba (WFS) takes wounded veterans scuba diving in Roatan, a safe and remote island off the coast of Honduras. This includes veterans who are amputees, partially paralyzed, affected by post-traumatic stress, and more.
This customized wheelchair improves veterans’ mobility on and around Roatan beaches, creating an effortless journey over sand for veterans’ access to their scuba diving experience. It was an important donation to start off the year of 2021, as these wheelchairs play an integral role in aiding recovery and rehabilitation.
“We’re proud to assist Warfighter Scuba in their important mission,” said Freedom Alliance President Tom Kilgannon. “Warfighter Scuba helps our veterans to learn a new skill and challenge them to continue their rehabilitation. They are doing great work and this chair will help them carry out their mission.”
