Springfield, Oregon – September 9, 2022 – Freedom Alliance, in partnership with U.S. Bank, presented a 2019 Honda Pilot to retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Amanda Lockrem in honor of her courageous service to our country.

Amanda served nine years and supported Operation Enduring Freedom with tours of duty to Iraq and Afghanistan while working with Special Forces to document combat missions through video and still photography. Repeat exposure to life-threatening situations including small arms firefights, mortar attacks, and exposure to burn pits as well as a roadside bomb that struck her vehicle and resulted in PTS, anxiety, and numerous other injuries.

A second vehicle, especially one large enough to accommodate a family of four, not only helps alleviate emotional and financial stress, but allows Amanda to take her children to school in an area where buses aren’t available. In addition, it supports her husband’s schedule as he pursues a college degree.

Amanda said, “Just thinking about the amount of stress that would be lifted from all of us [with this vehicle] makes me want to cry happy tears.”
