Sioux Falls, South Dakota – September 13, 2022 – Freedom Alliance, in partnership with U.S. Bank, presented a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk to retired U.S. Army Specialist Connie Johnson in honor of her courageous service to our country.

Connie served with the 101st Military Police Combat Company and participated in the initial invasion into Iraq. She worked in POW camps, trained Iraqi police and provided convoy security and foot patrols. She also served as a driver and gunner. Connie sustained two traumatic brain injuries during her service. Shrapnel from a roadside bomb struck her neck and resulted in ongoing spinal and neck issues. She continues to struggle with PTSD and high anxiety.

Having a safe, reliable vehicle alleviates financial and emotional stress while ensuring Connie is able to maintain a regular work schedule and provide for her children. She said, “A reliable car would allow me to work, take my children to their appointments and obligations safely, and alleviate stress to help me be better [and] be better for my children.” Freedom Alliance and U.S. Bank are honored to be able to fill this need for Connie and her family.
