What an unforgettable day it was at the historic Alamo, where we had the honor of presenting U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Dana Cisneros with a gift that will help her continue her mission of serving others—the gift of an all-terrain wheelchair.
This incredible moment was more than just a ceremony. It was a celebration of courage, service, and the unwavering commitment Dana has shown throughout her 17.5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. From her deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan to her dedicated service at the Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, Dana’s career has been marked by strength and resilience. After sustaining a life-changing injury, Dana continued to serve with an unwavering spirit, inspiring those around her to persevere despite challenges.
Now, after medically retiring in 2023 and returning to Texas, Dana is beginning a new chapter—one that will be made even more exciting with the help of her all-terrain wheelchair. This wheelchair will allow Dana to continue embracing life’s adventures, from camping and fishing to hunting and beach trips with her family. It will help her stay active, continue to support fellow veterans, and fully enjoy the outdoors.
